SQL / EER
Airline Management System
An airline management system developed across two academic projects, with the first version focused on C++ with OOP and UML and the second on relational database design using SQL and EER diagrams.
Overview
The project models the main entities and operations of an airline system, providing a structured way to represent airports, aircraft, routes, pilots, flights, crew, schedules, maintenance, seats, bookings, tickets, payments and baggage.
Development stages
The first academic version was implemented in C++ using object-oriented programming concepts and UML modeling. The later version translated the system into a relational database design using SQL and EER diagrams.
Project focus
The main focus is understanding how a real-world airline workflow can be represented first as an object-oriented system and then as a relational database with connected entities and relationships.
